• Once you’ve signed up, we’ll send you an email with details on how to claim your free cotton t-shirt.  
• If you hit £300 as an individual, we’ll also gift you a technical running top. 
• If you totally smash it and reach £500, you’ll be eligible for one of our branded beanies to keep you warm on those wintery runs.    

Please note it can take up to two days to receive your email link from us to claim these gifts after signing up/ reaching the relevant fundraising milestone.

You can kit yourself out at our online shop too. From hoodies to baseball caps, you can help spread awareness with our branded merch. 

Anyone and everyone! Run, jog, walk or wheel 26.2 miles the way you want over January. We advise you to do whatever is within your ability but still a personal challenge. If you’re a wheelchair user, you can take part in the challenge in a way that suits you. Get in touch if you’d like to talk about your plans.

There’s loads of great ways to fundraise. Once you’ve signed up to take part, we’ll send you top tips to make your challenge a success. 

Here’s a good place to start: 

• Set up your fundraising page with JustGiving.
• Share a link to your JustGiving page with family and friends via social media or Whatsapp, and ask them to sponsor you. Let them know why you’re taking part.  
• Pop a donation in yourself to get the ball rolling.  

Your JustGiving page will be open until 25 March 2023 so you can continue to get donations before, during, and after the challenge.

Simply sign up and run, jog, walk or wheel 26.2 miles over January.

You can take part wherever and whenever you want. Fit a run into your gym routine. Jog to the train station instead of walking. Head out on a free weekend to bag those miles.

January can be cold, dark and wet - so make sure you stay safe whilst you’re running. Wear high visibility clothing when you’re out, take a friend or your dog with you and stay hydrated.

Yes, absolutely! You can make up 26.2 miles your way. 

Maybe it’s stretching your legs for one mile each day. Or it’s breaking a sweat on a full marathon in one go. You know your body best, so plan a challenge that suits you. Pound the pavements, use a treadmill or go cross country - the choice is yours.

This challenge is all about keeping busy and active, so we trust you to be sticking to the distance you challenged yourself to. 

Strava is a great free app you can use to keep track of your runs. If you choose to use this tool, you may like to use Strava’s Privacy Zones function to hide your start/finish location. Please note it can take up to 24 hours for your miles to appear on your JustGiving page.

Yes, you can! All you need to do is Set up your fundraising page, and then create your team page. If you’re not sure how to do this, check out our handy videos:

Work together as a team to hit 26.2 miles, or compete on the leaderboard for the highest fundraising total. Every mile and every pound is what will get us closer to beating prostate cancer. We can’t do it alone.

Fundraisers who donate to their own page raise on average 42% more. Dipping into your wallet and donating to your own page isn’t cheating - it’s the best way to reach your fundraising target. Your friends and family will soon follow suit…

You’re welcome to fundraise however suits you best. However, if you decide to use Facebook Fundraising, it won’t show up on your JustGiving page and we won’t be able to see how much you’ve raised on Facebook. You may also miss emails about the challenge including your fundraising gifts.

It’s free to sign up and take part in Run the Month: Marathon Edition. We suggest trying to raise a minimum of £250 to help beat prostate cancer. But you can set your target at whatever you’d like.

Every pound you raise will help fund research to find better tests to diagnose men sooner.

If you want your miles to automatically show on your JustGiving page, you can connect your Strava account to your page. To do this, make sure you’re logged into your JustGiving account and go to your page. On your page, there’ll be an icon in the bottom left corner which you can click on and select ‘edit page’. In the box that pops up, there’s an option to connect to fitness. There’s a video with instructions here.
