How your money will make a difference

  • £100 could cover the cost of analysing six blood samples. This could help researchers find new ways to identify aggressive prostate cancer that will help men with advanced disease be diagnosed earlier.
  • £300 could cover the cost of analysing the DNA in tumour cells in the blood of one man, which gives scientists important insight into his cancer and how it can be treated best.
  • £500 could pay for the extraction of Ribonucleic acid (RNA) from 50 blood samples to identify genetic markers associated with prostate cancer.
